Swadhar Greh (Home for the women in socio-economic difficult circumstances)

The scheme envisions a supportive institutional framework for women victims of difficult circumstances so that they could lead their life with dignity and conviction. It envisages that shelter, food, clothing, and health as well as economic and social security are assured for such women. It also envisions that the special needs of these women are properly taken care of and under no circumstances they should be left unattended or abandoned which could lead to their exploitation and desolation. VJSS, running Swadhar Greh project from 2011, having its office at-Kalinga Vihar, Plot No-HIG, 309, K-5, Bhubaneswar, under Khordha district of Odisha with 30 women intake capacity who are in socio-economic difficult circumstances, and in distress situation. The Organisation recruited professionally trained staff at managerial level from, Superintendent, Counselor, and Assistants -cum- DEO, Watchman, guard and other coordination staff. During this year, 70 women, 15 Children has been added in to the Greh. Ten cases have been referred to different agency like Mahila commission, police & other organization.


Family Counseling Center

The Family Counseling Centers provide counseling, referral and rehabilitative services to women and children who are victims of atrocities, family maladjustments and social ostracism and also provide crisis intervention and trauma counseling in case of natural disasters. The Centers also create awareness and mobilize public opinion on social issues affecting status of women. The FCCs work in close collaboration with the local administration, police, courts, free legal aid cells, medical and psychiatric institutions, vocational training centers, short stay homes, Swadhar Home etc. VJSS managing Family Counseling Center project from year 2006-07, having office attached to Swadhar Greh being funded by State Social welfare Board, Odisha. The organization recruited two Counselors, clerk and Peon.
